Telemedicine and other clinics

Many people in Scotland live in outlying and rural areas. Access to specialist epilepsy treatment can prove difficult due to their isolated geographical location. People often have to travel long distances to hospitals and may not see an epilepsy specialist when they get there. In today’s world there is technology available that could solve these problems.

Scottish Epilepsy Initiative aims to provide specialist telemedicine equipment to clinics and healthcare providers to enable people with epilepsy in Scotland to access the specialist care they need.
